Everyone knows what the most effective form of advertising is, or at least they should. It's a "Point-of-Purchase" promotion. In retailing, it's also called In-Store Promo.
Over 80% of shopping decisions are made in store, not at home. The best way to effectively be part of the decision making process is to use your stores as a marketing tool.
If decisions concerning what to buy are made in store, let's start using the store to its full advantage. It's about time retailers start to be part of that decision making process together with the customers.
Let's give tips to our customers of best buys and keep changing that environment so that it becomes a more interesting place, where something new is always happening. And all just for the benefit of our customers.

That's just not happening in most stores. Some picturesque posters announcing happy times is not selling. It has to be directed towards something. Benefits spelled out clearly. Systematically applied to marketplace at the right periods, days or weeks etc.
This approach would dramatically change the look of the store if applied properly with a well thought-out plan. Your customers would learn to come to the store to find out the best buys instead of having to read newspapers.
