For too many retailers, communication has become a field of missed opportunities. Often the fault lies in advertising. By doing such a good job that other communication elements are ignored. And in retailing, ignorance is not bliss.
Advertising, of course, is a vital element in any communications package. But it is only one of an abundance of opportunities which together should create a Total Selling Environment in which each element reinforces all the others.
